Laser Varicose Veins Treatment
Laser Varicose Veins Treatment is a minimally invasive method of varicose disease treatment of the lower limbs. The laser is carried out «gluing» the inner lining of the vessel wall, which occurs due to the effect of high temperature on it.
Before Laser Varicose Veins Treatment
An advantage of laser vein treatment is the lack of specific preparation. It will be enough to pass a standard set of surveys, such as:
- general blood test;
- biochemical markers of hepatitis C and b and HIV.
In some cases, you need to consult with a therapist and do a coagulogram – blood clotting analysis.
During Laser Varicose Veins Treatment
After performing the preliminary marking, local anesthesia is administered. As soon as the anesthetic works, the doctor performs a microscopic puncture of the skin and gently inserts a light guide into it, placing it as close as possible to the damaged vascular valve. After that, the entire space around the vessel is filled with anesthetic solution, which simultaneously anesthetizes and protects the tissues from strong thermal effects. Then the light guide is supplied with energy, which coagulates the affected vessel. After the procedure, a special bandage is applied to the treated area. One day after laser coagulation, a specialist performs a duplex scan, which allows you to check how well the blood clots dissolve.
After Laser Varicose Veins Treatment
In the postoperative period, some patients may experience minor pain in the lower limbs. There may be bruising.
Immediately after the procedure, patient is recommended to walk for about forty minutes. Elastic stockings are worn for seven days, day and night, and then – only in the daytime.
